As ourGuest Experience Captain, you play a key role in creating lasting memories while interacting with our guests and attendants during Trail Blazer games, concerts, and the wide variety of events that come through our campus. Your daily tasks and responsibilities will include being a go-to resource for teammates, Supervisors and management for your working area, being a subject-matter-expert on the operation of your space in the Rose Quarter, and leading by example in making special moments for our guests throughout events.

DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Assisting Supervisors and Management by troubleshooting detractors or disruptions to guests’ enjoyment of each event, as well as their entry & exit experience, while escalating issues as needed.
  • Helping to build a fun & celebratory work environment through recognizing and motivating your teammates.
  • Providing timely event feedback to Supervisors to enhance operational efficiency and improve guest and staff experiences.
  • Lead by example embodying our service culture values: Care, Inclusion, Safety, and Teamwork.Entertainment drives our service culture and as a Captain, you would be a role model and trainer for how:
    • Attention to detail sets us apart from other experiences.
    • We immerse guests in an experience that is intentional and maintain environments that are clean and tidy.
    • We share in guests enthusiasm and passion, creating a fun atmosphere for guests & teammates.
    • We take action to correct or report distractions from the experience.
    • We ensure our area is event-ready at all times.
  • Connecting with guests, fostering positive meaningful relationships, and anticipating their needs to provide service that exceeds expectations.
  • Ensuring that all guests and teammates are aware of and following building policies.
  • Managing crowd flow, which could include emergency situations and evacuations.
  • Supporting guests with ADA or sensory needs (e.g. wheelchair escorts, walkers, sensory bags, etc.)
  • Overseeing resolution of ticketing issues, including but not limited to, seat relocation mobile ticket disputes, and digital promotion redemption.
  • Willing to be a Trainer helping develop & hype up Teammates.
  • Being a positive influence on the team and a dedicated problem solver.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

WE’D LIKE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF YOU:

  • Are a current Guest Experience Attendant with at least 6 months of experience in the department.
  • Have a minimum of 1-year customer service experience, preferred.
  • Are at least 18 years old.
  • Have availability to work at least 70% of all Rose Quarter Campus event days each month.
  • Are enthusiastic and friendly with a professional demeanor.
  • Are able to interact with all individuals (fellow employees and guests) in a friendly and helpful manner.
  • Are a team player who is able to work well in a fast-paced environment.
  • Possess the ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with guests and have strong moderately independent problem-solving and de-escalation skills.
  • Demonstrate the ability to make timely guest-facing decisions alongside Supervisors and management.
  • Are comfortable working in large crowds and confident communicating to large groups of people at a time.
  • Have flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Possess effective interpersonal and oral communication skills.
  • Are able to work as a team and lead a team with people of different backgrounds and abilities.
  • Are creative in creating special moments with guests, celebrating special occasions, and flipping negative experiences within the scope of Guest Experience Make Good Strategy and standard operating procedures.
