Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Phlebotomist to join our team. As a Phlebotomist, you will play a crucial role in collecting blood samples from patients for diagnostic testing and transfusions. Your attention to detail and ability to provide excellent patient care will contribute to the overall success of our laboratory.

Responsibilities:

- Perform venipuncture and capillary puncture to collect blood specimens

- Verify patient information and ensure accurate labeling of samples

- Follow proper laboratory procedures for specimen handling and processing

- Prepare samples for transport to the laboratory

- Maintain a clean and organized work area

- Adhere to infection control and safety protocols

- Interact with patients in a professional and compassionate manner

- Monitor vital signs during blood collection procedures

Requirements:

- Certification as a Phlebotomist or completion of a Phlebotomy training program

- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology

- Proficiency in laboratory techniques related to phlebotomy

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Experience working in a hospital or clinical laboratory setting is preferred
