Company Overview:
We are a leading substance abuse treatment facility, expanding our services to a new location in Simi Valley. Situated on a 10-acre property, our facility offers a unique environment for recovery, including on-site equine therapy. We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT) to join our team as a full-time Case Manager.
Role Overview:
The Case Manager will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive support to our clients throughout their treatment journey. This position requires a dynamic individual who is passionate about mental health and substance abuse recovery, capable of facilitating group sessions, and adept at managing administrative tasks related to client care.
Responsibilities:
1. Case Management:
- Provide individualized case management services to clients, including assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing monitoring of progress.
- Collaborate with clinical staff to ensure the continuity and effectiveness of care for each client.
- Conduct regular check-ins with clients to address their needs, challenges, and goals.
2. Group Facilitation:
- Plan and facilitate group therapy sessions on a daily basis, incorporating evidence-based modalities and therapeutic techniques.
- Create a supportive and engaging environment for clients to explore topics related to recovery, coping skills, and relapse prevention.
- Tailor group activities to meet the diverse needs and interests of clients while maintaining a structured and therapeutic atmosphere.
3. Equine Therapy Support (Not required to apply)
- Assist in the coordination and implementation of equine therapy sessions as part of the treatment program.
- Collaborate with equine therapy professionals to integrate experiential activities into the overall therapeutic approach.
- Provide support and guidance to clients during equine-assisted interventions, promoting emotional regulation and self-awareness.
4. Administrative Tasks:
- Assist clients with disability paperwork, FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act) applications, and other related documentation as needed.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Communicate effectively with insurance providers, employers, and other relevant stakeholders to facilitate client support services.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or related field.
- Current registration with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences (BBS) as an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT).
- Previous experience working in substance abuse treatment or mental health settings preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices in therapy and case management.
- Ability to effectively lead group therapy sessions and engage clients in the treatment process.
- Experience with equine therapy or willingness to undergo training is a plus.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Compassionate, empathetic, and culturally sensitive approach to working with clients from diverse backgrounds.
