What We Need:
We are seeking a compassionate, skilled, and experienced seasonal Camp Nurse with the ability to work Monday – Friday from June to August. This role will be responsible for ensuring safe activities and providing necessary medical care when needed. The ideal applicant must be a MD, PA, RN, or EMT and have a current PA license. This candidate will work closely with the Activities Specialist and Program Director.
Position Type: Seasonal (2nd week in June – 1st week in August)
Weekly camp Schedule: Monday – Friday

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure a safe camp environment.
- Provide necessary medical care.
- Keep current medical records.
- Work with activity specialist and program director to make sure games and activities are safe for campers and staff.
- Take appropriate and prudent action in emergency situations.
- Invest in the lives of your fellow staff by helping them serve, encouraging them, and holding them accountable. Making sure your communication and interaction with others is professional, respectful, and timely.
- As a support role, realize there may be times you are asked to assist in other areas outside of health, wellness, and safety as the executive director decides.
Qualifications and Certifications
- CPR and First aid certifications.
- Must be a MD, PA, RN, or EMT.
- Must have a current PA license.
- Excellent communications skills to convey camp procedures to all visitors.
- Leadership skills to guide and motivate campers throughout their week.
- Interpersonal skills to build positive relationships with campers under your care.
- Ability to empathize with campers.
- Organizational skills.
Physical Requirements
This position requires the ability to lift and carry 40-50 lb. Ability to push, pull, twist, and turn in a safe manner. Ability to stand for at least 4 hours, walk and run on uneven terrain, and assist participants as needed.
