PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This position maintains secure document control and revision system and tracking for all documents and records including production, purchasing, quality and shipping/receiving data. Receives and reviews documents for completion. Writes and updates procedure manuals for materials group including shipping/receiving, scheduling procedures, data entry including JIT transactions, quality control data, serial number logs and serial tags. The incumbent is also responsible for monitoring inventory levels of MRO supplies, purchasing MRO supplies as well as inventory discrepancy investigations.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

  • Responsible for daily data entry including entering cycle counts.
  • Complete routine daily assignments using established procedures and work instructions consistently and accurately. This includes providing feedback to the initiator.
  • Timely entry of scrap and deviation data into KBM/JDE as required.
  • Responsible for inventory transactions including shipping/receiving logs.
  • Works to improve inventory accuracy by monitoring WIP locations and investigating discrepancies as required.
  • Control log and assign serial numbers and log their revisions. Coordinate with department personnel for filing, indexing, storage and updating of department files, logs, and records. Helps to resolve all documentation related issues.
  • Manages non-conforming material including storage, return and system adjustments.
  • Produce, process, and publish daily, weekly, monthly and yearly reports including assisting with month-end and year-end inventory, data entry and administrative transactions as required.
  • Perform daily data entry transactions by accurately transferring given information to computer system using AS400, LotusNotes, Microsoft Excel, etc.
  • Uses independent thinking to set levels of MRO supplies and purchases supplies as needed.
  • Print daily stock out reports.
  • Assist with PFEP (Plan For Every Part) analysis including quantity of parts used, plans areas in production for the parts and analyzes required quantities.
  • Print and distribute work orders. Compile production data and issues.
  • Communicate with other departments as need including shipping/receiving, inventory control, production, and scheduling.
  • Provide accurate and timely assistance to Manufacturing as required.
  • Update the computer system daily with all transactions and ensure accuracy.
  • Collect and prepare process and procedural audit data as directed by department manager.
  • Compile and report on the status of department activities, projects, and achievement of goals.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma

KNOWLEDGE / SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

Forklift license is required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; use hands to finger, handle or feel; talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee is occasionally exposed to toxic or caustic chemicals and outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
