Operations Strategy Specialist

Operations Strategy Specialist will work with the COO Americas will put details into perspective and formalize them into the bigger picture. He/she will conceptualize problems and develop solutions in line with the company’s operations business model. He/she will identify key impacts and implications of operational requirements and will turn them into opportunities. He/she manages administrative tasks to assisting with project coordination. He/she makes arguments in a compelling manner and that will cause his/her people and customers to listen and understand his/her messages.
Responsibilities:
  • Assisting in planning and directing Rittal’ s strategic short- mid- and long-term goals.
  • Conducts organizational reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities for growth.
  • Produces actional reports that show key performance indicators, identify areas of improvement into current operations and possible root cause analysis, as appropriate.
  • Formulate feasible recommendations to COO America on how to optimize operational output growth, improve processes and obtain efficiencies.
  • Manage select cadence meetings to ensure timely communication and execution amongst various workstream leaders and workstream team members.
  • Develop business plans that support and introduce solutions for strategic issues that impact the company.
  • Provides on-going business support to the COO Americas, including presentations, reports, research, and other pertinent matters.
  • Collaborates across divisions to understand drivers and barriers for growth. Presents recommendations to the COO Americas & Executive Teams on how to leverage these drivers for success in the organization.
  • Builds strong relationships with key stakeholders at Rittal LLC, Rittal Latin America and headquarters in Germany to ensure strategy is aligned with domestic & global initiatives.
  • Supports development and leverage talent to advance strategic priorities and create a performance-oriented culture.
  • Reflects the culture of Rittal in interactions with internal and external contacts.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience:
  • A four-year degree from a college/university required.
  • Three to five to years of experience in a role with strategic planning responsibility.
  • Must have minimum 3 years of experience working for an industrial manufacturer.
  • Must have knowledge of business process and operations.
  • Must have intermediate to advanced knowledge with Microsoft Office programs including Excel, PowerPoint, and Access.
  • Must demonstrate a high degree of knowledge on business practices, ability to research complex topics, and present complex topics in concise terms.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and data-driven thinking.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
