**Job Summary:**

River City is actively seeking a Full-Time Excavation Manager to join our management team! This is a great opportunity to join a successful company and to make this role your own.

**Duties:**

• Work closely with the Crew Leads to ensure jobs are completed accurately, on time, and on budget.
• Initiate and maintain regular communication with the Sales Manager, Excavation Crews, Customers, Vendors, and others as to the status and current activities of each job.
• Forecast, plan, and schedule all upcoming work; take part in pre-job site walks; prep teams for projects.
• Prepare daily work orders, call for locates, file necessary permits, ensure crews have equipment and supplies.
• Must have the ability to exercise discretion and good judgment in supervising the hourly workforce. This includes hiring, directing, training, counseling, and disciplining employees.
• Lead by example and strive to promote teamwork and cooperation within the department.
• Ability to demonstrate and train on all operational areas related to excavation.
• Represent the Excavation Division in project meetings and attend strategy meetings.
• Provide detailed bids/estimates for installation and repairs of septic tanks, sewer lines, stormwater, utilities, and grease interceptors.
• Ensure accurate, well written contracts are in place to protect the company’s interest and simultaneously maintain a good relationship with the customer.
• Interpret and explain plans and contract terms to administrative staff, workers, and clients.
• Formulate and maintain reports concerning such areas as work progress, costs, and scheduling – oversee P&L.

**Qualifications:**

• Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 5 years’ experience with underground utility installation and repair.
• 3 years in a leadership role managing and directing the workforce.
• Certified in both Oregon and Washington for septic install & repair a PLUS.
• Commercial Driver’s License a PLUS.
• Must be safety and customer-focused, without exception.
• Capable of always maintaining a professional demeanor even in stressful situations.
• Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organization skills with high attention to detail.
• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Office; Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Experiencing running an excavator and other equipment related to the excavation process.
• Experience reading read blueprints, solving complex math problems, and using a computer to generate quotes.
• Experience bidding on large and small project in the residential, commercial, and industrial markets.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
