The full continuum of River Edge Behavioral Health services provides state-of-the-art treatment and support services for more than 13,000 children, youth, families and adults annually, who experience mental illness, addiction, co-occurring disorders or developmental disabilities.As a General Clerk with River Edge, you will perform a variety of duties in an outpatient office setting. Experience working in a medical or behavioral health practice setting is preferred. You should demonstrate attention to detail, excellent communication and interpersonal skills. If you are looking to be in an environment that fosters growth and passion for helping people, this is the position for you!Duties and ResponsibilitiesServes as the front desk reception, greeting visitors and clients with excellent customer service Checking in clients to see providers or assisting new clients in enrolling in services in a high volume, fast-paced environmentProvides general clerical support to office and direct support staff, to include tasks such as data entry/maintenance, copying/distributing documents and materials, maintaining record-keeping and filing systems, etc.Provides clerical support within assigned functional area (i.e. scheduling facilities maintenance, ordering supplies, alerting security as needed, etc.).Collects co-pays and other fees, process credit card paymentsReceives, screens, and directs telephone communications and/or answer telephone inquiries regarding River Edge and our servicesOpens, sorts and routes incoming mail (external and internal), answers correspondence, and prepares outgoing mail.Qualifications Needed (education and/or experience):At least a high school diploma/GED equivalentMust be 21 years of ageProficient in Microsoft OfficePositive energy person, good communicatorCan handle and protect confidential informationBe able to lift 16 - 20 pounds whenever neededCustomer service experience or experience in behavioral health setting preferred
