River Ridge is recruiting for a DON ( Director of Nursing) for our SNF and long-term care facility. You will work with the Administrator and Staff in a supportive and collaborative environment, ensuring our residents' high standard of care.Ideal candidates must have experience working in nursing homes or long-term care facilities.

Job Summary:

• DON must direct, oversee, and evaluate all nursing personnel and nursing operations
• Set objectives and long-term goals for the nursing department
• Organize and coordinate admission, nursing, and patient care procedures
• DON will be required to support, supervise, train, and motivate nurses and certified nursing assistants
• Develop and enforce policies aiming for legal compliance and high-quality standards
• Resolve issues and deficiencies when needed
• DON must be knowledgeable of Federal and State guidelines

·Ensuring there is adequate nursing staff and each team member is fully trained

·Being knowledgeable of incidents at the facility

·Assessing the health needs of each resident

·Other assigned duties

Requirements

• Three (3) years of management experience working as a DON or ADON in an SNF
• Understanding of basic budgeting and financial reporting
• Excellent knowledge of legal regulations and best practices in healthcare
• Good at developing and maintaining good working relationships
• Great communication and people skills
• Outstanding organizational and stress management skills
• Must have an Associate degree (A.A.S) in nursing or administration
• Valid nursing and CPR certification, a plus
• Must have an RN license for the state
