Riverside MFG is Hiring an Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Near Fort Wayne, IN
Job DescriptionRiverside Mfg., LLC - Cleveland-Cliffs has immediate openings for Electrical and Instrumentation Maintenance Technicians. The primary function of this position is to repair and maintain all electrical and/or instrumentation equipment associated with the mining and production of taconite pellets in a self-directed work environment. This position may be located in either Silver Bay or Babbitt.
Summary of Responsibilities:

- Repair and maintain all electrical and/or instrumentation equipment located in the Silver Bay Processing Plant or the Babbitt Mine Site.
- Work in a self-directed environment to complete daily, weekly, monthly tasks
- 2-year post-secondary degree, with preference for degrees in electrical or instrumentation; OR equivalent apprenticeship program; OR applicable military experience; OR at least 2 years of related full-time work experience is required.
- Must be able to recognize upset conditions, determine cause, and then take corrective action.
- Must be highly motivated, have an exceptional work ethic, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work in a self-directed team environment.
- Must be willing to work rotating shifts, overtime, vacation relief and holidays.
- Applicants must achieve a passing score on the NSM Electrical/Instrumentation assessment.
- Must meet the physical requirements of the position.
- Preference for candidates with working knowledge in electrical maintenance in an industrial or mining environment.
- Previous experience with high voltage.
- Candidates with PLC backgrounds.
- Minnesota electrical license is preferred.
- Demonstrated safe working practices and excellent safety record.
- Excellent attendance record.
- Good troubleshooting skills and proven mechanical aptitude.
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems software is preferred. Will be required to generate work orders and requisition parts.
