Life Enrichment Coordinator Position Summary:
Under the general supervision of the Life Enrichment Director, primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the overall responsibility of enriching the lives of the residents we serve. This is a part time position with rotating weekend requirements.
Primary Responsibilities for Life Enrichment Coordinator:
- Ensure the highest quality of customer service is available for our residents.
- Engage in prospective resident tours.
- Welcome new residents.
- Programs for the month should be based on the 7 dimensions of wellness
- Use of iPad to enrich the lives of our residents and photos for community TVs and Facebook.
- Responsible for participating in weekend activities.
- Must be available to work weekends
- Provide transportation for both group events and personal appointments.
- Responsible to update seasonal/holiday decorations throughout the building.
- Notifies Life Enrichment Director of emergency situations.
Reports to Life Enrichment Director.
1. General Working Conditions
The worker is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
2. Physical Demands of the Position
a. The ability to sit, stand, bend, stoop, push, pull, walk, reach, and grasp in order to perform a variety of functions including directing exercise classes.
b. The ability to operate office equipment such as a computer, telephone, calculator and copier.
c. The ability to operate audio visual equipment such as camera, video camera, video cassette recorder, stereo and public address system.
3. Mental Acuity Requirements of the Job
a. Ability to set priorities, plan, organize and coordinate resident programs.
b. Possesses short and long term memory.
c. Ability to accumulate, document and follow-up on resident choices and needs.
d. Detail oriented and possesses sound judgement.
e. Possesses the ability to evaluate staff performance.
f. Ability to assess a situation and present a viable solution.
4. Sensory Requirement of this Position
a. Ability to see and hear in order to assist with the needs of the residents.
b. Ability to give and receive oral and written instructions.
c. Ability to communicate effectively with residents, family members, volunteers and staff.
5. Technical/Motor Skill Requirements of the Job

a. Ability to speak and write in a clear and concise manner in order to communicate effectively.
b. Ability to manipulate small office equipment.
c. Ability to manipulate and instruct on audiovisual equipment.
d. Ability to secure an ADL license and operate a small bus.
e. Ability to prepare and submit written reports.
