The Breast Ultrasound Technologist is responsible for performing a variety of specialized technical tasks in Breast Care utilizing high frequency sound waves to assist medical and professional personnel in detecting anatomical abnormalities of the breast.
Qualifications:
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
1. Graduate of an approved Ultrasound School.
2. A.R.D.M.S registered.
3. A minimum of 2 years training in Allied Health/College.
4. Certified in Breast within 6 months of hire.
5. Must be able to do CPR.
6. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7. Proficient computer skills that include but are not limited to Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite platforms.
Education, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred:
1. A minimum of 1 year of clinical experience in ultrasound.
Licenses and Certifications Required:
1. Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Certification or Breast Sonography Certification.
2. Maintains 30 CEU Credits within a three year period.
