Role SummaryYou will be part of Rivian's Production Engineering team as a Software Engineer. You will be involved in designing, building, and supporting frameworks and systems that will be used to ingest high speed data, perform stream processing and streaming analytics, store for online and batch queries to derive insights from our connected vehicle fleets.

Responsibilities- Ownership of Rivian's high-scale open source data systems.
- Architect and design software endpoints to advance Rivian's Data and AI platform, help scale our services, and create powerful capabilities for application owners within the connected vehicle platform.
- Enable partner teams to build and deploy changes to OSS services under Production Engineering ownership model.
- Ownership for cloud infrastructure, IAC, and automation supporting Rivian's stateful open source services.
- On-call support for critical production services.
Qualifications- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering; Master's degree a plus.
- 4 plus years programming in Python, Java Script, Go, or C/C .
- Deep understanding of AWS services, cloud infrastructure and code pipelines.
- Sound knowledge of designing and building infrastructure to support highly scalable & distributed multi tenant systems.
- Deep experience with Terraform, cloud formation, or other modern infrastructure automation tools.
- Experience designing and building distributed systems.
- Understanding of REST API services and applications.
- Knowledge of software development technologies, processes, and tools.
- Database experience, including knowledge of SQL and NoSQL models.
Pay DisclosureSalary Range/Hourly Rate for California Based Applicants : $105,100-$131,400 (actual compensation will be determined based on experience, location, and other factors permitted by law).
