RJN Group employees can answer yes to all of those and more. Currently we are seeking an Equipment Support Specialist to join the RJN family.

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Corporate Equipment Manager, the Equipment Support Specialist will be involved in the procurement, maintenance, repair and inventory control of equipment used in field and office locations.

Position Responsibilities:

• Keep an accurate inventory of all equipment, to include brand/make; model; model number; purchase date, vendor and dollar amount; serial number; quantity on hand; and condition

• Perform routine checks and preventive maintenance of the equipment to spot potential problems before they arise

• Maintenance/repairs of all equipment in field and office locations

• Track all equipment, location, maintenance log, condition, etc. in a database

• Support field managers and field operations locally or as needed to provide better equipment support.

• Liaison equipment and software issues between the Data Group and field staff to catch issues early and partner with other support groups such as IT to resolve.

• Work with the EQS Team’s local office contacts/representatives to boost communication and efficiency for our clients internally and externally

• Special projects as assigned

Essential Skills & Experience:

• High School diploma or related GED from an accredited institution

• Prior work experience within a professional services or consulting engineering firm

• Previous experience managing and administering an Inventory Management Software (IMS)

• Experience with vendor management, procurement, contract negotiation and purchasing

• Hands on equipment experience, preferably in the wastewater industry, specifically with flow data collection devices

• Data and/or software troubleshooting background among various platforms

• Excellent communication skills; ability to convey information effectively; understand ideas and information presented in writing and verbally

• Manage work load to meet deadlines; flexibility to adjust work load to changing demands

• Ability to prioritize and multi-task; thorough and detail-oriented; highly organized

• Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PPT) and Internet

Preferred Skills and Experience:

• Experience working within MS Access

• Certified Production and Inventory Management (CPIM) or Certified Supply Chain Professional (CSCP) certifications

• Experience within the wastewater industry

Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.

• Work environment: The noise level in the work environment is usually minimal. The noise level in the field environment is usually moderate.

• Personal Protective Equipment: None required in office. If working in field, must wear steel-toe boots, Class 2 or Class 3 safety vest, high visibility T-shirt, leather gloves, safety glasses, hard hat and other standard equipment required by assignment or job task.
