RLA Engineering is Hiring a Procurement Analyst (Packaging) (Bilingual) Near Spring, TX
- Provide oversight across entire supply chain for packaging materials (commodities) used in the production of PC devices e.g., notebooks
- Collaborate daily with an Americas based contract manufacturer (CM) including verifying that ordered commodities follow contractual pricing, quantities, and production schedule requirements
- Monitor programs, delivery solutions, key metrics, and process oriented tasks; identify issues and propose solutions with limited guidance
- Analyze CM reports on materials ordering, inventory, and production status
- Analyze upside/downside production forecast changes to determine impact at CM and collaborate with material planners on production plan changes
- Collaborate with R&D and drive strategic and tactical solutions for material quality issues
- Regularly draft reports to internal and external stakeholders on status, issues, and resolution plans
- Provide procurement operations, focusing on basic commodities that require limited technical expertise
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet commodity objectives, business controls, and compliance requirements
- Optimize spend with external suppliers, generating procurement value through negotiation and strategic partnerships
- Lead escalation path between CM and internal stakeholders for time critical issues
- Manage the deployment of business processes and technical capabilities by suppliers and partner groups, facilitating smooth operations
- Contribute to cross-functional team goals and objectives through execution of commodity strategies via tactical delivery
- Identify and improve workflow/process gaps and better utilize tools to solve pain-points
- Occasionally work 40 hours in a week to meet certain team milestones as well as occasionally support flexible work hours for meetings across different time zones
- Perform other duties as needed
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Statistics, Engineering Management, or related field
- Certified In Production And Inventory Management preferred
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification preferred
- Certified Professional In Supply Management (Standards Organizations) preferred
- Eligible to work in the US without RLA sponsorship for employment visa status
- 4-7 years of experience in a supply chain, materials planning, data/business analyst or commodity procurement role
- Experience using procurement processes to manage commodities (any industry is ok)
- Experience developing and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders including supporting negotiations
- Experience using multiple data sources to perform data analysis including using relational databases (e.g. SAP, SQL/KQL, etc.) and data analysis/visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Tableau, etc.)
- Experience working on a cross functional global team
- Ability to read, write, and speak English and Spanish proficiently
- High proficiency using productivity software such as M365 (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, Teams and SharePoint)
- Ability to use agile/scrum project/program management principles and methodologies to consistently meet task deadlines, triage changing priorities, and track issues to resolution
- Ability to collaborate across diverse teams with a customer service mindset
- The position typically operates in a standard office environment and/or from employee’s home
- This is a Hybrid position requiring working 3 days on site in Spring, Texas, and possible travel to Mexico
- Be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
