This is an exciting time to join our team as we are facing exciting new opportunities for growth. We are seeking a Manager of Human Resources to join our growing business.

The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for leading the programs and processes that support the human capital of the business. This role will oversee recruitment and retention, onboarding, compliance, training, compensation, employee relations, performance management, and benefits administration. The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for the development and administration of HR policies and procedures, maintains and updates employee records, various reports, and provides employee coaching on work related matters. This position is a part of the Plant Leadership teams and must be able to understand business issues and bring solutions that advance the greater interests of the business.

  • Understands, follows, and enforces all established safety, health, quality, and Company policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Understands, follows, and enforces all established policies, procedures, and recognized practices.
  • Lead recruitment, selection, and retention of plant employees. Partners with Plant Leadership in maintaining staffing levels to budget.
  • Interprets and applies company policies, benefits, practices, procedures, programs, and applicable laws.
  • Responsible for the investigation and administration of worker compensation claims, record keeping, and documentation.
  • Maintains records and compiles reports concerning personnel related data such as hires, turnover, employee programs, performance appraisals, wage progression, and absenteeism rates.
  • Represents organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations.
  • Plans and coordinates new employee onboarding to foster positive attitude toward organizational objectives.
  • Analyzes training needs to design employee and leadership training and development.
  • Serves as the liaison between leadership and our team by handling questions and assisting in the resolution of employee related issues.
  • Provides effective guidance and coaching to Plant Leadership, relating to team member concerns, problems, and disciplinary action to comply with company policies.
  • Partners in special projects related to other functional areas and other related duties as assigned.
  • Benefits Administration, working in coordination with brokers and leadership to determine the best alternatives available.
  • Keeps abreast of legislation affecting human resources; trains leadership and monitors company policies to ensure compliance.
  • Oversees preparation of job descriptions and compensation programs. Seeks incentive programs that encourage excellent performance and increase retention rates.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree and/or related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • A minimum of 5 years Human Resources Manager, experience in manufacturing preferred
  • Manager of Human Resources is required to interact with other leaders, team members, vendors, and customers. Therefore, the following skills and proficiencies are also essential requirements of the position:
  • Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Must be able to respond easily and quickly to shifting business priorities while managing workload appropriately
  • Organize activities and execution plans across cross-functional departments
  • Ability to prioritize and strategize based on Company goals and objectives
  • Comfortable using Excel and PowerPoint for reporting, analysis, and presentation creation
  • Change management skills with flexibility in approach to solutions
  • Must be a self-starter and proactively meet with stakeholders to support the evolving business needs
  • Ability to develop strong partnerships/team building relationships
