RMS Auto Care is a thriving 2nd generation automotive repair business located in Houston, Tx in the River Oaks/Montrose area. We take pride in providing top-notch automotive services to our valued customers. As part of our commitment to maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient facility, we are currently seeking a dedicated and reliable janitor and porter to join our team.

Position: Janitor and Porter

Responsibilities:

Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop floor, shop repair areas, waiting area, restrooms, parking lot, and location property.

Perform routine cleaning tasks, including dusting, sweeping, mopping, cleaning shop areas, bathrooms and offices.

Ensure proper disposal of trash and recycling materials.

Monitor and replenish restroom and other supplies as needed.

Collaborate with other staff members to maintain a safe and welcoming environment for both employees and customers.

Assist with general maintenance and minor repairs as required.

Serve as a porter, handling vehicle movement within the facility, parking, and organizing vehicles for service.

Perform parts pick up from local suppliers as needed, ensuring timely and accurate delivery to the appropriate personnel.

Cleaning client vehicles prior to their pick up after completion of repairs.

Requirements:

Previous experience in janitorial or related roles is preferred, but not mandatory.

A valid driver's license for porter and parts pick-up duties.

Ability to work six days a week, including Saturdays. Large amount of overtime opportunity.

Physical fitness to handle various cleaning tasks, such as lifting heavy objects and operating cleaning equipment. Must be able to lift 60 pounds safely and unassisted.

Excellent dependability, trustworthiness, time management and organizational skills.

A positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a team-oriented environment. We are a NO negativity environment!

Knowledge of safety procedures and the ability to follow them diligently.
