This position is for a Regional Operations Manager within the Bus Services Division of RMS Energy. This is a unique opportunity to join a fast paced, growing company working on electrical equipment in power plants and other large industrial facilities, including Isolated Phase Bus Duct, Non-Seg Bus Duct, and Generator Circuit Breakers including individual project execution on schedule and budget with a focus on site activities, project planning, assignment of crew members, and scheduling of personnel.
Required Job Functions
  • Responsible for overall regional performance of company assigned metrics including utilization, revenue and profitability.
  • Responsible for personnel within their assigned territory including talent development and performance evaluation.
  • Assist and work with sales team for quotation and sales support as required.
  • Work with divisional leadership on strategic planning for assigned territory to include personnel, equipment and requirements for growth.
  • Maintain high standard for safety within assigned territory, adhering the industry and company standards
  • Job planning including labor, material, and subcontractors as required.
  • Work effectively alongside assigned team, other crafts on-site, and other regional team members.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Determine appropriate equipment needed for project execution to include welding, test equipment, consumables or other equipment as required.
  • As required, supervise on-site the rigging, lifting, setting, alignment, and fit of equipment in position according to drawings and specifications.
  • As required, supervise welding aluminum components in various positions (vertical, horizontal, or overhead, 6G test required)
  • Ensure all equipment utilized on-site is maintained and inspect daily for damage or safety concerns.
  • Ensure all required job reports completed as directed by the company to include JSA, Daily Time Sheets or other requirements as needed.
  • Ensure all company vehicles are operated safely and within company policy.
Experience
  • 6 Years Experience in direct leadership role with knowledge of OSHA standards and PPE in substation construction or electrical bus installation.
  • 3 Years experience welding using a variety of welding equipment and procedures
  • Experience with rigging procedures, best practices in a industrial environment.
  • Experience with project management of substation or construction projects.
  • Familiar with Microsoft Office including Outlook, Excel, Word
  • Familiar with medium and high voltage electrical equipment
Other Requirements
  • Up to 50% travel required throughout assigned region.
  • Minimum of a high school diploma or GED; community college or technical school a plus
  • Ability to pass company drug and alcohol screening and background check.
  • Valid and current driver’s license
