Job Summary

The Operations Accounting Staff will perform general accounting functions and the preparation of reports and statistics reflecting earnings, profits, cash balances, and other financial results. Formulates and administers approved accounting practices throughout the organization to ensure that financial and operating reports accurately reflect the condition of the business and provide reliable information necessary to control operations.

Key Performance Indicators

● Accurate reporting of revenue, including deferrals
● Manage inventory obsolescence with operations
● No significant out-of-period adjustments

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

The Operations Accounting Staff will work with a team of accounting professionals to support the field operations for Pest, Distribution, Ambius and other businesses with focus on the following;
● Prepare journal entries for assigned accounts; review GL accounts/financial statements for
reasonableness
● Prepare reconciliations for assigned accounts
● Assist with the monthly flux analysis by compiling data requested by Manager or Senior
Accountant
● Identify areas of inefficiency in daily tasks and work with the Senior Accountant to solution
● Identify events - i.e., missing rent, utilities, charges posted to wrong accounts etc
● As required, assist Senior Accountant with estimating amounts to accrue, defer, reverse or
change based upon historical data and knowledge of business
● Agree balances to supporting documentation/source (operating system, bank statements, etc)
● Identify/research/resolve any unusual balances for trial balance and P&L accounts
● Work with Seniors and Managers to foster personal career development
● Ensure security and integrity of Rentokil North America’s financial information
● Assist Senior Accountant with performing ad-hoc financial analysis
● Assist with Internal and External Audits by compiling requested data and support documentation
● Perform all other duties as assigned

CANDIDATE SUMMARY
Required Experience

● 1-3 years of experience in accounting or finance fields
● Experience with multi-unit organization

● Ability to maintain highly confidential information.

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

● Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or related field or equivalent relevant experience -
Required
● MBA in finance, accounting or related field - Preferred
