Responsibilities
Conduct health assessments of students both upon entry and ongoing to develop and implement healthcare plans
Coordinate healthcare services with other members of the school health team
Provide ongoing care and management for students with chronic illnesses
Educate students on self-care and lifestyle modifications
Respond to medical emergencies within the school district
Assess and address mental health issues among students
Provide health education to students on topics such as nutrition, hygiene, and disease prevention
Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for each student
Work closely with school nurses and security staff to ensure the safety of both healthcare providers and students
Advocate for the healthcare needs and rights of students
Qualifications
New York state CNA certification
New Grads Welcome
Valid CPR/BLS Card
Proof of negative TB test within the past year
Ability to pass a background check
