Duties
- Manage day-to-day operations of housing facilities, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Oversee tenant relations, addressing concerns and resolving conflicts in a timely manner.
- Conduct regular inspections of properties to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for effective property management.
- Collaborate with community organizations to provide resources for residents, including addiction counseling and crisis intervention services.
- Utilize software such as Yardi for managing tenant records, lease agreements, and financial reporting.
- Negotiate contracts with service providers to enhance resident services.
- Provide training and support to staff on best practices in crisis management and motivational interviewing techniques.
- Ensure proper documentation of all incidents and interactions with residents.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Property Management, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit) programs and Section 8 housing is highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation skills and ability to advocate for residents’ needs.
- Knowledge of crisis management strategies and experience in crisis intervention.
- Proficient in property management software such as Yardi.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and community stakeholders.
- Previous experience in addiction counseling or social work is a plus.
