Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of technicians and mechanics in the shop
- Assign tasks and monitor the progress of repair projects to ensure timely completion
- Provide technical guidance and support to technicians, assisting with complex repairs as needed
- Conduct quality inspections to ensure repairs meet industry standards and customer expectations
- Order parts and materials necessary for repairs and maintenance
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, parts used, and labor time
- Collaborate with the service advisors to address customer inquiries and concerns
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with regulations
- Stay updated on industry trends, advancements, and best practices
- Prior experience in a leadership role in an automotive repair shop
- Strong technical knowledge and expertise in automotive repairs and maintenance
- Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Ability to effectively manage and lead a team of technicians
- Solid understanding of automotive systems, components, and repair techniques
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- ASE certifications are preferred
