We are looking for 

We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our Data Engineering team. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and availability of data that powers our applications and services. As a Senior Data Engineer, you will drive and architect both current and new solutions, focusing on building and maintaining our web scraping engine, data pipelines, and data warehouse. You'll tackle data-processing bottlenecks and handle the diverse high-volume data challenges we face. 

Responsibilities 

• Create and maintain high-performance, scalable data pipelines and services for all Roamler applications. 
• Build and maintain our web scraping engine. 
• Utilize AWS & Azure services effectively. 
• Enhance our automated testing, data validation, and monitoring capabilities. 
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to other data engineers. 
• Collaborate with business and data stakeholders to align requirements and expectations. 
• Drive engineering projects and ensure successful outcomes. 
• Drive continuous improvement in our engineering setup. 
• Foster a collaborative and enjoyable team environment through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and daily interactions. 

Job Requirements

• Bachelor and/or Master’s degree in computer science or a related field
• 4 years of working experience as a Data Engineer
• Experience with Airflow, Python, SQL and Spark
• Experience with AWS or Azure
• Experience with DWH solutions
• Experience with Elasticsearch, Java/Scala or scraping techniques is a plus
• Experience with IaC (eg. Terraform, etc.) is a big plus
• Result-driven and hands-on attitude
• Proactive and courage to speak up
• Ability to communicate in verbal communication skills in English.
