Roaring Fork School District is Hiring a Media and Assessment Specialist Near Carbondale, CO

RFHS is seeking a Media and Assessment Specialist starting August 2024 for the 2024-25 school year!
Essential Job Functions
  • Supervise the library space while students with study periods are working in order to maintain a safe and focused environment.
  • Assist students in locating reference and other instructional materials.
  • Assist in maintaining the circulation desk operations and circulation files.
  • Operate audio-visual equipment as needed.
  • Support the administrators and counselors in the coordination and execution of state and national testing (ACCESS, CMAS, SAT and PSAT, AP)
  • Oversee and coordinate the beginning of the year Chromebook checkout and end of year Chromebook check-in processes with support from tech team and administrators.
  • Basic Chromebook troubleshooting.
  • Assist in cataloging and filing learning materials.
  • Construct, copy, distribute and use educational materials
  • Other duties as assigned
Equipment
  • Assist in the utilization and maintenance of instructional and non-instructional equipment, including Chromebooks and other library materials.
  • Use standard office equipment, such as personal computers and copiers.`
Communication Requirements
  • Ability to report work orally and in writing to supervisor as required.
  • Effective writing and oral communication skills.
  • Initiate phone calls to CollegeBoard or other groups to troubleshoot assessment questions.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
  • Ability to supervise students and hold them accountable.
  • Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
  • Ability to work with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of information regarding students, employees and others.
  • Ability to follow directives of supervisors and assist students with respect to instructional and non-instructional tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with students, staff and others contacted in the course of work.
Physical and Mental Demands, Work HazardsWorks in standard office and school building environments.
Qualifications Profile
  • Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prior experience working in public educations settings is desirable
SALARY RANGE AND DAYS WORKEDHourly range: $22.07*/hour to $27.34/hour, depending on qualified experience. Days worked: 185 days/year (with paid personal time, paid sick leave, and paid time off for holidays and district non-work days such as during winter break and spring breaks)RFSD offers full district paid employee health benefits as well as voluntary vision, dental, and dependent coverage.
