The Role

The General Manager acts as co-owner of the Retail Store Operational Plan and is responsible for ensuring that store objectives are met and for ensuring that all sales opportunities are maximized. He/she will maximize gross profit and manage the store budget while addressing guest concerns and maintaining a constant awareness of security issues involved in operating a store. The General Manager will recruit, hire, train and develop store sales and management team. They will deliver timely performance evaluations and create and maintain the store vision.
The General Manager works closely with the Regional VP of Stores and/or District Manager in all aspects of store operations as well as with all other functional heads to achieve company objectives and is responsible for developing and implementing an effective succession plan as well as for modeling, support and adherence to company values.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Sales Management

  • Exceeds guest expectations ensuring the delivery of the legendary Robbins Brothers experience
  • Directs the sales floor daily
  • Acts to ensure that all sales opportunities are maximized through direction of traffic, advising and coaching while the guest is still in-store
  • Increase Close % and Average Sale to achieve the organizational financial objectives
  • Champion of Perfect Proposals
  • Ensures the effective use of Salesforce to drive business
  • Maintains Salesforce metric objectives for data collection, tasks and appointments
  • Manages TPC effectively to drive business and maintain profitability

• People Development

  • Recruiting and constantly striving to top grade store staff while staying within budget
  • Training and development of sales and management staff
  • Supports company sponsored education with follow up through training at the store level
  • Motivates, mentors, and inspires others
  • Delivers timely and consistent performance evaluations
  • Maintains detailed records and documentation of training and disciplinary incidents
  • Completes the Management Competency Ranking quarterly

• Merchandise Management

  • Inventory Control while striving to eliminate shrinkage
  • Weekly merchandise specific needs assessment
  • Responsible for having the “right ring at the right price at the right time” through awareness, analysis and communication.
