We are in search of a detail-oriented Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This role will be situated in the Government Consulting industry and will play a crucial part in managing financial reporting and analysis, maintaining accounting policies and procedures, and overseeing cash management. Responsibilities:• Oversee all accounting functions including financial reporting, billing, collections, payroll, budget preparation, and cash management.• Maintain a documented system of accounting policies and procedures.• Implement a system of controls to audit accounting transactions and minimize risk.• Manage the financial aspects of the company’s ERP system.• Maintain standard cost accounting and inventory accuracy.• Develop and manage business and accounting processes, tools, analysis, and reporting.• Produce periodic financial reports ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and other financial reporting standards.• Prepare and manage all external audit requirements.• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations by auditing accounts and coordinating with outside auditors as needed.• Develop and manage company subcontractor contracts and relationships.• Assist accounting staff with daily duties to ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.• Present recommendations to management on financial objectives and policies.• Identify and resolve problems in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information skillfully.• Develop alternative solutions and work well in group problem-solving situations.• Employ continual improvement practices to streamline processes using automated data mining, workflows, and other tools and techniques to improve accounting effectiveness and efficiency.Interested candidates please contact Tamara Young 757-981-0974
