ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The Accounting Manager will manage daily accounting operations and ensure accurate financial reporting. This remote, full-time role involves close collaboration with leadership and the Board of Directors to implement financial strategies and maintain internal controls.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and brokerage accounts.
• Prepare and present financial statements, reports, and forecasts.
• Support grant budget creation, reporting, and monitoring.
• Oversee the deferred revenue schedule.
• Develop financial strategies and conduct account reconciliations.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes.
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
• Support the annual audit process.
• Identify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiatives.
• Foster positive relationships with stakeholders.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA preferred.
• Minimum of 7 years of accounting experience, including 3 years in management.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks, bill.com, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven track record in developing and implementing accounting policies and procedures.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Leadership and initiative in fostering a collaborative work environment.
