Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting and bookkeeping functions, which includes the accurate recording and tracking of all receipts and disbursements activity.
- Monitor accounts receivable and accounts payable to ensure timely payment of vendor invoices and collection of payments.
- Execute month-end closing procedures, which include monthly balance sheet account reconciliations, preparation and recording of adjusting journal entries, and research and resolution of discrepancies as needed.
- Prepare monthly financial statements and other financial reports.
- Provide analysis of financial information and recommendations for action to leadership.
- Oversee, mentor, and direct accounting department staff.
- Process and record payroll.
- Participate in ad hoc projects and Accounting department initiatives as required.
- Prior experience as an Accounting Manager or Supervisor
- Excellent organizational and leadership abilities
- Attention to detail and problem-solving capability
- Bachelor in Accounting, Finance or relevant field is preferred
