Robert Half is Hiring an Accounts Payable Clerk Near Gorham, ME
Responsibilities
- Efficiently manage and process accounts payable following established accounting procedures
- Analyze and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to accounts payable
- Prepare and review general ledger transactions, including journal entries and account reconciliations
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all accounts payable transactions, including invoices, payments, and vendor information
- Utilize accounting software to process and track accounts payable transactions
- Collaborate with other accounting staff members to ensure seamless processing of accounts payable transactions
- Stay updated with new accounting software and participate in training to improve accounting skills and knowledge
- Ensure all accounts payable transactions are properly authorized and approved by management.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Accounts Payable role or similar.
- Proficient in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and practices.
- Demonstrated skills in Account Reconciliation.
- Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices.
- Proficiency in Data Entry and Invoice Processing.
- Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
- Experienced in using QuickBooks for financial management and operations.
- Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.
- Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related discipline is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy in a high-volume work environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively.
- Knowledge of general accounting principles and regulatory standards.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet and professional manner.
