Keep accounts maintained and organized as an Accounts Payable (A/P) Clerk in an industry-leading company on a long-term contract / temporary to hire through Robert Half. A successful Accounts Payable Clerk will match, batch, and code invoices, resolve A/P issues, process expense reports, update and reconcile sub-ledger to G/L, and process checks. This position requires people who have excellent communication skills, a strong understanding of accounting and its principles, hands on, and the ability to think on your feet. Based out of the Rochelle Park, New Jersey area, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a long-term contract / temporary to hire opening.How you will make an impact- Assist the AP/Finance Department with administrative tasks- Carry out daily processes and controls accurately and on time, and ensure compliance with company policies- Help with internal and external audits as required- Perform special projects as assigned- Implement full-cycle A/P- Open, organize, and distribute department mail daily- Manage customer service tasks for internal business partners- Verify, log and mail checks, including expediting special handling- Ensure invoices, checks, and other documents are properly sorted, logged, scanned, and filed
