The Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of the accounts payable function in a high-volume environment. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment. Key Responsibilities
Supervise and lead a team of accounts payable specialists, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the accounts payable department, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and expense reports.
Develop and maintain efficient processes and procedures for invoice processing, payment approval, and vendor management.
Review and reconcile vendor statements, resolving any discrepancies in a timely manner.
Monitor cash flow and vendor payment schedules to optimize working capital and maintain positive vendor relationships.
Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance productivity and accuracy.
This role is in office 3 days a week, so candidates must be able to commute to this office. RequirementsQualifications:
Minimum of 5 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role, preferably in a high-volume environment.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with vendors, colleagues, and senior management.
Proven leadership abilities, including the ability to motivate and develop a team, set clear expectations, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency, able to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify issues, propose solutions, and implement changes effectively.
Knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and compliance requirements related to accounts payable and financial operations.
Ability to adapt to changing priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
