We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity located in RONKONKOMA, New York, United States. The role is for an Accounts Receivable Clerk who will primarily be responsible for handling customer credit applications, maintaining customer credit records, and resolving customer credit inquiries.Responsibilities:• Process customer credit applications accurately and swiftly.• Keep customer credit records up-to-date and accurate.• Monitor daily deposits, scan checks, and apply cash receipt payments to relevant accounts.• Authorize credit memos for valid deductions and initiate processes for resolving invalid or disputed deductions.• Collaborate with the Sales Team to resolve unresolved deduction or invoice balances.• Obtain proof of delivery for shortage claims from different freight carriers.• Review receivable aging for overlooked or overdue invoices and rectify discrepancies in payments.• Conduct collection calls, address requests for customer invoice, Proof of Delivery (POD), or statement copies, and respond to inquiries • Maintain records of credit memo postings on liability trackers for accurate monthly accruals.• Assist with audit requests.• Undertake additional special projects and tasks as needed.Skills:• Account Reconciliation• Accounts Receivable (AR)• Billing• Cash Applications• Cash Collections• Commercial Collections• Microsoft Excel• QuickBooks
