Robert Half is Hiring an Accounts Receivable Specialist Near Sanford, FL

Our client is seeking an AR Professional to join their team in Sanford, Florida. This role involves managing invoices, processing payments, customer communication, compliance and documentation, lien laws compliance, collaboration, collections, and financial reporting.
Responsibilities
  • Generate and send out invoices, following up on, collecting, and allocating payments.
  • Perform account reconciliations and monitor customer account details for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities.
  • Process and record financial transactions accurately and promptly, verifying the accuracy of billing data and revising any errors.
  • Communicate with clients via phone, email, or mail regarding billing issues and payment status, addressing and resolving client questions and concerns regarding invoices and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, maintaining detailed and accurate records of all accounts receivable activities.
  • Understand and apply lien laws relevant to the company’s operations, filing mechanic's liens and other lien-related documents when necessary.
  • Work closely with the sales team to verify terms of sales and client orders, collaborating with the legal department on lien-related matters.
  • Conduct collections on overdue accounts, negotiating payment plans with clients in coordination with the Accounts Receivable Manager.
  • Assist in month-end closing activities, prepare and present accounts receivable reports to management.
  • Maintain accounts receivable files and records, participate in audits and provide necessary documentation and information.
Skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Understanding of Accounting Functions.
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • Knowledge of Billing Functions.
