DescriptionWe are in search of a Business Systems Analyst to join our team in the machinery manufacturing industry. This role is located in Denton, Texas and offers a contract employment opportunity. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing technology projects, leading solution acceptance testing cycles, and providing project leadership within an agile environment. Responsibilities
Assume full responsibility for moderately complex technology projects to provide high-quality solutions to end users, including project management from start to finish.
Lead and facilitate workshops to scope projects and gather user stories from various stakeholders, teams, and departments.
Employ in-depth knowledge of Agile processes and principles to coach the development team, lead Scrum ceremonies, and assist product owners with backlog prioritization and testing.
Engage in multiple small projects, initiatives, and system requests simultaneously.
Write epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria with at least 5 years of experience.
Support developers during the development process by understanding the requirements while refining user stories with the business.
Perform organizational tasks regarding change control, incident management, and audit.
Conduct functional, integration, and regression testing as needed to support projects.
Acquire and coordinate resources and services from both external vendors and internal teams.
Identify risks and collaborate with the team on mitigation plans.
Use Atlassian Jira, Business Systems, Agile Scrum, Create User Stories, Epics, User Story - Story Creation skills.
Requirements
Demonstrated proficiency in Atlassian Jira
Solid understanding of business systems
Proven experience with Agile Scrum methodology
Ability to create user stories and epics
Experience with User Story - Story Creation
Bachelor's degree in business, IT, or related field preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work well in a team and independently
Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
Detailed-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work output
Willingness to continually update skills and knowledge as required by the job
Understanding of machinery manufacturing industry would be an asset.
