Description We are in the search for an experienced Application Development Project Manager/Lead to join our team, based in Houston, Texas. The role involves taking the lead in the application development process, particularly focusing on Microsoft Power Platforms and other Microsoft applications. The individual will also be required to ensure that IT analysts and businesses are well-advised on these platforms. Responsibilities: Lead the implementation of diverse projects related to applications on Microsoft Power Platform Review and manage end-user requirements for new applications Develop comprehensive design documents outlining proposed changes Maintain various systems and technologies, addressing application issues promptly to ensure optimal performance Guide system administrators in setting up assigned applications and managing system interfaces Oversee the administration of various applications to maintain system stability and security Enhance IT systems by implementing lifecycle management practices for assigned and dependent applications Continuously evaluate and improve existing processes to optimize efficiency and effectiveness Manage documentation for all supported applications to ensure accuracy and relevance Review and manage the testing of multiple system upgrades before releasing them to the business Provide recommendations for application system upgrades and enhancements to drive continuous improvement Offer on-call support during non-business hours to Operations as needed Deliver exceptional customer service, fostering positive relationships with all stakeholders Serve as a subject matter expert in identifying opportunities for process optimization Lead initiatives to streamline existing processes and enhance overall efficiency If Direct Reports exists, provide performance planning and guidance for direct reports, fostering their professional growth and development Effectively manage Leads and Analysts, ensuring successful execution of roadmaps, budgets, and forecasts for assigned applications and system environments Collaborate with direct reports to mentor soft, strategic, and technical skills Share technical expertise with colleagues to facilitate problem-solving and collective success Fulfill other duties as assigned, demonstrating versatility and adaptability. Requirements Must possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field. Proven experience as an Application Development Project Manager Strong proficiency in PowerApps, Canvas, and SharePoint Object Model is mandatory. Demonstrable experience in managing end-to-end application development lifecycle. Proven ability to lead and manage a team of developers in a fast-paced environment. Excellent project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions based on accurate and timely analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including team members, IT operations, and business analysts. Must be detail-oriented and have the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously. Strong understanding of IT industry trends and the ability to leverage this knowledge to benefit the project and the team. Certifications in Project Management (PMP, PRINCE2) would be an added advantage. Willingness to stay updated with the latest technological trends and continue learning.
