We are looking for an Assistant Controller to join our team in the non-profit sector based in Palm Springs, California. This role primarily involves overseeing various accounting functions, with a strong focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation. The Assistant Controller will also be expected to familiarize themselves with Sage Intacct and Paylocity software.Responsibilities:• Oversee and manage all accounting functions including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll operations.• Ensure accuracy and efficiency in processing customer credit applications.• Maintain precise customer credit records and resolve any credit inquiries.• Monitor customer credit accounts and take appropriate action to collect overdue payments.• Handle long-term investment reconciliations and treasury activities.• Use Sage Intacct and Paylocity software for various accounting tasks.• Ensure completion of month-end close processes.• Supervise and potentially train a Senior Accountant, providing guidance and support where necessary.• Ensure all payroll expenses, payroll allocations, and bank reconciliations are accurately posted and completed in a timely manner.• Adhere to budget processes and maintain fund accounting.
