We are currently on the hunt for an Assistant Controller in the Food & Food Processing industry, situated in Sioux City, Iowa. This position offers an exciting opportunity to play a key role in improving reporting capabilities, analyzing plant operations for better decision making, and initiating controls and processes to maximize production.Responsibilities:• Assist in reviewing current manual reporting operations and report any variances or errors to improve the overall reporting ability• Analyze plant operations to facilitate better reporting and sound decision making• Review and prepare inventory analysis reports periodically• Assist in the preparation and updating of inventories for outside storage and report on a weekly and monthly basis• Perform weekly stock close for inventory valuation process• Proactively identify opportunities that can contribute outside traditional sphere of influence• Prepare training documentation as needed for Inventory tracking and evaluation• Participate in regular policy review meetings to identify necessary accounting policy changes• Review and improve current reporting functions where feasible• Initiate controls and processes in any plant operation to maximize all aspects of production• Analyze raw data from current systems to ensure proper reporting functions• Develop reports to compile information with minimal manual operation to increase current staff productivity• Work closely with scheduling and sales departments to maximize identified opportunities in the production and warehouse areas• Assist warehouse management in performing an efficient warehouse and inventory process• Review plant labor reporting results and form recommendations to management in plant to increase productivity or reduce labor waste• Coordinate with IT and other technology departments to stay updated with continuous upgrades and data retrieval changes• Coordinate with outside facilities to assist in their reporting of STF information accurately.
