Responsibilities
- Assist in managing government contracts to ensure timely and successful delivery.
- Utilize project management skills to plan, execute, and finalize projects according to strict deadlines and within budget.
- Apply contract management skills to manage all aspects of contract administration, ensuring contractual obligations are met.
- Use Microsoft Excel for data analysis, report generation, and financial tracking.
- Assess and manage risks associated with each project, ensuring potential issues are identified and addressed promptly.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to achieve project objectives.
- Ensure compliance with Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) Standard Items and familiarity with American Bureau of Shipping (ABS) and U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) rules and regulations.
- Oversee project schedules and resources, coordinating team activities to keep projects on track.
- Regularly report on project status, including milestones achieved and upcoming tasks.
- Handle any arising issues or uncertainties in the project, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Project Management role within the Manufacturing industry
- Proficient in Project Management methodologies and tools
- Demonstrated skills in Contract Management
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
- Experience in assessing and mitigating risks in projects
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with various stakeholders
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, or related field is desired
- Certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) or similar is preferred
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to make decisions under pressure
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing and motivating teams for success
- Familiarity with industry standard quality and safety regulations in manufacturing
- Willingness to continue professional development and stay current with industry trends.
