We are looking to hire a part time Billing Clerk to join our team in Gillette, Wyoming. This fully remote role is part of the utility line locating and hydro excavating industry and offers a long-term contract employment opportunity.

As a Billing Clerk, you will be tasked with managing customer portals, preparing invoices and ensuring accurate and timely customer service.

Responsibilities

• Manage customer portals, including uploading necessary documentation and data.
• Prepare and process invoices using QuickBooks and other accounting software systems.
• Ensure accurate data entry in customer portals and accounting systems.
• Provide excellent customer service by resolving customer inquiries and issues in a timely manner.
• Monitor customer accounts for any discrepancies and take appropriate action as needed.
• Maintain detailed and accurate customer credit records.
• Handle large volumes of billing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
• Utilize various skills such as About Time, Computerized Billing, and QuickBooks Online.
• Download and complete invoice forms from dropbox, then email or send them to the customer portal.
• Look for bills in the email inbox, pull them, and drop them into QuickBooks for the hydro excavation side.
• Minimum of 1 years of experience in a role as a Billing Clerk or similar position
• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems
• Experience with Computerized Billing is essential
• Familiarity with 'About Time' software is advantageous
• Understanding of Accounting Functions and Billing Functions
• Capacity to work with Quickbooks Online and QuickBooks
• Proven experience in Billing, preparing Billing Statements
• Ability to manage a Customer Portal
• Strong skills in Computer Data Entry
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
