We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Billing Clerk in the nonprofit healthcare industry, located in Gardena, California. As a Billing Clerk, you will be involved in multiple facets of the billing and customer service functions. This role is integral to the smooth operation of our billing department and requires a keen eye for detail, proficiency in accounting software systems, and a strong understanding of customer service protocols. Responsibilities:• Accurately process customer credit applications using accounting software systems• Maintain and update customer credit records in a timely and organized manner• Address and resolve customer credit inquiries, leveraging strong customer service skills• Monitor customer credit accounts regularly and identify any irregularities• Take necessary action to collect delinquent payments, following established collection processes• Work closely with the billing functions team to ensure all billing information is accurate and up-to-date• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites, specifically Excel, to track and report on credit-related metrics• Adhere to all healthcare industry standards and regulations pertaining to credit and billing• Collaborate with other team members to improve and streamline credit and billing processes• Utilize IBM AS/400 and ADP - Financial Services tools for various accounting functions.
