We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer to join our team in the non-profit sector based in New York, New York. The BI Engineer will be responsible for leveraging cloud-based Business Intelligence tools and managing complex data analyses. This role will also involve managing work activities and projects, and drawing insights through data analysis to drive business decisions.Responsibilities:• Utilize cloud-based Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI and Microsoft Azure data stack to drive data-driven decisions.• Perform significant data transformations using Power Query/M-language within Power BI.• Write complex calculated measures and columns using DAX to enhance data analysis.• Implement dynamic Row Level Security in the data model to ensure data privacy and security.• Gather Business Intelligence requirements, design solutions, and manage application operations and maintenance activities.• Analyze complex datasets using SQL to derive insights and inform business decisions.• Plan, organize, and manage work activities or projects, ensuring timely delivery of outcomes.• Informally manage deliverables of others, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.• Use Dax Technologies, Microsoft Power BI, and Microsoft SQL Server to enhance data visualization and reporting capabilities.• Draw insights through robust data analysis to inform strategic decision-making.
