Responsibilities
- Contact delinquent customers via telephone or mail to collect past due payments and establish alternative payment arrangements
- Maintain and manage files relating to collection activities
- Use basic skip tracing techniques to locate delinquent customers
- Recommend actions for management decisions in dealing with repossessions, bankruptcy, and/or foreclosure
- Arrange for appropriate bank and/or legal action based on account analysis and as directed by manager
- Provide excellent customer service and display strong negotiation skills
- Understand complex processes and adapt to change
- Drive continuous improvement in the collections process
- Maintain proficiency in using a computer and keyboard for data entry and communication purposes
- Possess the ability to work independently and demonstrate effective communication over the phone.
