As The Assistant Controller You Will
- Assist with the preparation and presentation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Assist in preparing bank compliance reporting including annual reports, call reports, liquidity reports, loans, deposits and securities, lending limits and investment portfolio
- Handle banking compliance duties, ensuring all financial operations adhere to banking laws and regulations.
- Contribute to budget planning and management.
- Oversee and monitor the financial system, ensuring the best practice and compliance with all financial regulations.
- Assist with internal and external financial audits.
- Monitor and review financial data for accuracy, clarity and compliance.
- Implement and ensure adherence to internal controls while identifying and mitigating financial risk.
- Oversee all accounting operations functions including accounts payable
- Supervise and lead a team of accounting staff, providing them with guidance and support in their daily tasks.
- Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field; CPA or relevant certification preferred.
- 3-5 years of experience in financial management or similar role within a banking environment.
- Must be familiar with FDIC Reporting and bank compliance reporting including FRY9 and FR 2900
- Excellent understanding of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
- Outstanding skills in MS Office Suite and financial software applications.
- Strong organizational, leadership and decision-making skills.
- Excellent communication, analytical ability and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while meeting pressing deadlines.
