One of our clients is looking to hire an interim Controller for their organization, you will be responsible for overseeing and guiding various accounting and financial functions. Your role will involve managing teams, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and maintaining robust financial controls. You will play a critical part in developing accounting systems and processes, managing audits, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide and nurture a team of professionals in financial reporting, general accounting, accounts receivables, accounts payable, fixed assets, tax, inventory operations and payroll functions.
• Direct the timely and accurate completion of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closes, contributing significantly to both internal and external reporting.
• Oversee financial statement audits and banking operations.
• Responsible for updating accounting policies and procedures,
• Establish and review internal controls to maintain accuracy and completeness in financial reporting.
• Coordinate the annual financial audits, working closely with external auditors to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
• Oversee international teams, ensuring accurate financials and consolidations.

Qualifications:

• 8-10 years in a start-up environment, 5 years in a leadership role.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required; MBA is a plus. Active CPA designation preferred.
• Experience in a start-up environment is highly preferred
• Strong knowledge of GAAP reporting requirements, experience with NetSuite ERP, and Salesforce platforms.
• Bilingual mandarin is highly preferred.
