Key Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC.
- Verify accuracy and completeness of data from various sources.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff.
- Perform data quality checks and audits.
- Assist in report generation and data analysis.
- Organize and manage paper and electronic files.
- Provide general administrative support.
- High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical billing, coding, or healthcare administration is a plus.
- Experience in data entry, preferably in a medical setting.
- Proficient in using EHR systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC.
- Excellent typing speed and accuracy.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and HIPAA regulations.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
