Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient information and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC.
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources.
- Uphold confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff.
- Conduct data quality checks and audits.
- Assist in generating reports and analyzing data.
- Organize and manage both paper and electronic files.
- Provide general administrative support.
- Familiarize with and utilize Microsoft Excel, Billing Functions, Claim Administration, Customer Service, Data Entry, and Documentation skills.
- Utilize skills in Cerner Revenue Cycle, MEDITECH, and EPIC Rx.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Knowledge and experience in billing functions
- Familiarity with claim administration processes
- Strong customer service skills
- Proven experience in data entry tasks
- Ability to create and maintain documentation
- Experience with Cerner Revenue Cycle
- Familiarity with MEDITECH software
- Knowledge of EPIC Rx system
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive medical data
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a healthcare, hospital, or social assistance setting is preferred
- Willingness to undergo any necessary training or certifications.
