Responsibilities
- Enter and update patient data and medical records into electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Cerner, Meditech, or EPIC
- Verify the accuracy and completeness of data from various sources
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to maintain confidentiality
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrative staff
- Perform data quality checks and audits to ensure the accuracy of information
- Assist in generating reports and analyzing data
- Organize and manage both paper and electronic files efficiently
- Provide general administrative support as needed within the healthcare setting
- Utilize Microsoft Excel and other relevant software for data entry and documentation tasks
- Handle billing functions and claim administration as part of the role.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience with billing functions in a healthcare setting
- Familiarity with claim administration procedures
- Strong customer service skills
- Ability to perform data entry with high accuracy
- Excellent documentation skills
- Knowledge of Cerner Revenue Cycle
- Experience with MEDITECH software
- Familiarity with EPIC Rx system
- Previous experience in a healthcare or social assistance role
- Ability to handle confidential information responsibly
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
