Title: Desktop Support Specialist

Robert Half is looking for a Desktop Support in San Francisco, California. The Desktop Specialist will assist in meeting the organizations’ IT needs and will be responsible for the day to day operational activities of help desk Support, with general understanding of network administration, server, and systems. The role is responsible for all technology support; including but not limited to, installation, configuration, and troubleshooting of a wide range of technologies including desktops, laptops, audio/video, mobile devices.. To thrive in this role, you should be a natural problem solver and have a strong sense of ownership.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day technical support function
• Provide Tier 1-2 Support
• Assist with the on-boarding process, prepping and deploying systems, as well as training and educating new hires during IT orientations.
• Manage asset life cycle and IT procurement process, maintaining hardware inventory, accurate cycle counts, and decommissioning processes.
• Resolve technical problems with LAN, WAN, VPN, WiFi, Print Servers and other back-office systems.
• Oversee, support and troubleshoot our A/V conferencing systems in multiple conference rooms/offices.

Top Requirements

• 5 years of experience working in an IT support role Onsite or remote.
• Experience of supporting and maintaining Windows 10, Windows networking fundamentals, Laptops/Tablets, Excel, Outlook, Office 365 environment (Exchange, OneDrive/SharePoint, Teams etc.)
• Exposure to ticketing systems
• Networking concepts including WiFi; VPN, VLAN
• Experience with Azure AD and Intune is a plus

-Certifications (nice to have): Microsoft Certification
