DescriptionRoseann Mabry at Robert Half is partnering with a growing LOGISTICS company to place a Director of Operations on a direct hire basis. The full time onsite position for the Director of Operations will manage a team of 20 individuals located in various cities throughout the US and a small office in Mexico. The Director of Operations will handle strategic planning, performance management-setting KPI's for the various departments, and communicate directly with executives regarding day to day business. This role will manage Assistant Director of Operations, Sales Team, and Transportation Specialists. The annual salary for the Director of Operations will be up to 125K plus bonus. Responsibilities
  • Oversee the operational performance of various departments within the company.
  • Set key performance indicators (KPIs) for each department to ensure efficient operations.
  • Communicate directly with executives concerning day-to-day business operations.
  • Manage a diverse team including an Assistant Director of Operations, Sales Team, and Transportation Specialists.
  • Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Handle third-party logistics and supply chain logistics to ensure smooth operations.
  • Oversee transportation logistics to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods.
  • Generate operational reports to provide insights into the company's operational activities.
  • Conduct interviews, employee training, and performance management to ensure a highly competent workforce.
  • Collaborate with different teams and departments to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements
  • Must have a minimum of 7 years of experience in an Operations Specialist role or a similar role
  • Proficient in Operational Oversight, Operational Performance, and Operational Reporting
  • Experience in Operations management is a must
  • Should have a good understanding of Third Party Logistics, Supply Chain Logistics, and Transportation Logistics
  • Ability to conduct KPI Reporting is a must
  • Should be able to conduct Employee Training and Employee performance management
  • Experience in conducting Interviews is required
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to rapid change
  • Proven track record of managing and executing large projects from start to finish
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, or a related field is preferred
  • Must be a team player and have the ability to work independently when necessary
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, is preferred.
