We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to support our non-profit organization based in Newport News, Virginia. This role is pivotal in maintaining the organization's case management system, particularly within the Human Services department. The position requires a strong background in data entry, email correspondence, and the use of Microsoft Office suite. This role offers a long-term employment opportunity. Responsibilities: • Oversee the processing of new referrals from various court services and divisions, ensuring prompt review and response. • Engage in regular communication with parents, community partners, attorneys, and staff regarding referrals and the program. • Review historical information for new referrals and assign cases accordingly. • Attend court hearings when required, and review court reports and orders. • Regularly check and respond to emails, text, and voicemail messages as part of administrative duties. • Participate in brainstorming sessions for continuous improvements in the department. • Keep up-to-date on training requirements and attend committee meetings as needed. • Provide support to team members and handle various administrative duties. • Utilize case management skills to assess family needs and process case notes. • Employ Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word skills to manage and organize data.
